Axudas linguas estranxeiras

axudasleAqueles que cumprades os requisitos da convocatoria tedes ata o 22 de abril para presentar a solicitude de axuda para a realización de actividades de formación en linguas estranxeiras durante o verán de 2013. Entrega de premios

O pasado venres 22 de xuño, durante a celebración do festival de fin de curso, tivo lugar a entrega de premios do IV Concurso Literario en inglés. Aquí podedes ver dúas imaxes do acto.

IV English Literary Contest: Award Ceremony

An Award Ceremony will be held next Friday 22 June during the End of Year Celebration. The exact time is still to be confirmed. The awards are as follows, you can read the stories by clicking on their titles:

Bacharelato:

1st prize: Inés Castro Veiga (Dirty Deals)

2nd prize: Ana Mª Fernández Santos (Back Home)

ESO:

1st prize: María Losada Burgo (Memories)

2nd prize: Jaime Domínguez Martínez (An Eye for an Eye)

IV English Literary Contest: Awards

The jury of the IV English Literary Contest has reached an agreement and is glad to announce that the winners of this year's awards are the following:

Bacharelato:

1st prize: Inés Castro Veiga

ESO:

1st prize: María Losada Burgo

2nd prize: Jaime Domínguez Martínez

The winners are now asked to send a digital copy of their work to the department's e-mail address. Once we have received the copy their works will be published and the Awards Ceremony will be held.

Thank you very much to all the students who have massively taken part in the contest. 

Shadow puppet show

Students in PDC have performed the shadow puppet show titled Rip Van Winkle. They all agree it has been a very creative and rich experience. Find more photos and information about it in our school magazine to be published soon. Thanks to Gerardo and Prieto for their help.

Congratulations, Noemí, on your Special Prize!

winnerThe Department of English at IES Xoán Montes wants to congratulate Noemí García Rodriguez on her exact answer to the enigma posed in IV English Literary Contest Rules. We wanted to know why the picture in the Rules was there. It was today at 15:16 that we received the following answer: "The picture appears here because Patrick White is an Australian author, even though he was born in England." Thank you, Noemí, for your effort and interest!

Did you know the Titanic had been built in Belfast? I'm sure by now you know it sank 100 years ago, it's been everywhere for a few days. Here's a Prezi about this ship.

IV English Literary Contest

literary contestChega por fin a nova convocatoria que todos estabades agardando! Efectivamente, o concurso literario en inglés. Este ano chega un pouco máis tarde que outros anos anteriores, pero cargadiño de premios. Os gañadores de cada unha das dúas categorías levarán nada menos que un iPod Shuffle de premio. Si, si, todo un iPod. Podedes ir compoñendo os vosos relatos breves. O prazo de presentación remata o día 16 de maio. Para saber exactamente como tés que presentar o teu relato e os premios que podes obter, debes ler as BASES do concurso.
