The largest country in Europe is Russia, and the smallest is Vatican City.

2. Which countries have the most and the least population?
The country with the most population is Russia, and the least populated country is Vatican City.

3. How many official languages are there in Europe?
There are 24 official languages in Europe.

4. Which countries have a border with other continents?
a) Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia have a border with Asia. In fact, they are transcontinental countries.
b) Spain borders with Africa.

5. Which countries don’t use the Euro? What are the names of their currency?

There are 25 currencies in Europe.

Premios Big Challenge

O alumnado participante no concurso The Big Challenge acaba de recibir os seus premios pola participación no pasado mes de abril. Máis dunha trintena de alumnos e alumnas entre 2º e 4º de ESO tomaron parte nas probas de lingua, cultura, historia, deporte ou vocabulario sobre países de lingua inglesa.

Todas as persoas participantes foron agasalladas cun póster, un lapis e un diploma acreditativo do concurso. Ademais, cabe destacar positivamente a Noa Tedín de 2º de ESO que recibiu un certificado por ser a mellor alumna do seu nivel, Jéssica Blanco como mellor alumna participante en 3º de ESO e Helena Ameijeiras e Nerea Santos (ambas de 4º de ESO) por quedar entre as dez mellores da provincia da Coruña e ser as dúas mellores do seu nivel no IESP Pedra da Aguia. Congratulations teens!
