Presentámosvos: “Sing For The Climate”!!!

End of the Year at Sobreira

We are on the cusp of finishing the school year, which means we will be bringing our English activities to a close, as well. We have had a great year full of learning and fantastic artwork!!

Sending Off Our Language Assistant

We would like to say a big thank you to our language assistant, Andrew, for the work he has done this year and for his willingness to share his culture with us. We were very lucky to have him with us this year and will miss him dearly!

Easter at Sobreira

Spring has arrived! Let’s see what our students have been up to…

The little ones got to work creating colorful Easter eggs. Three and four year olds used blue, yellow, pink, purple and green crayons for their eggs while 5 year olds, first and second graders made their eggs using magic! (They used white crayons and watercolor, shh...)

Valentine's Day 2019

This Valentine's Day, we thought in GREEN!

To celebrate, we wanted to illustrate that love heals: it heals ourselves, it heals the Earth and it heals others. Our students made a ton of hearts in Arts class to fill the corridor with love. Some students made raindrops, other students made flowers, trees and seeds, and others purely made hearts. Students also made silhouettes to give life to the mural.

Thanksgiving 2018

THANKSGIVING

This year, Thanksgiving was celebrated on Thursday, November 22nd in the United States. At school, we celebrated the holiday with crafts, reflection, and a video conference with an American family in New Jersey!

The preschoolers made corn with red, orange, yellow and black kernels; crafted turkeys made out of their hands; and made cornucopias with pumpkins, apples, squash and grapes.
