MAKING SUNFLOWERS IN A VASE WITH FORKS

 

We saw a presentation about Van Gogh and some of his pictures. After that, we were just ready to make our special sunflowers in a vase...with a fork!!

 

WE LOVE KANDINSKY

 

Wassily KANDINSKY is one of our favourite painters.

 

                                            

 

We were inspired by him to make these FLOWERS:

 

 

TAKING A LINE FOR A WALK

 

Paul Klee said: " Drawing is taking a line for a walk"

This is our work:

 

PRIMARY AND...SECONDARY COLOURS!

 

HOMEMADE PLAYDOUGH

 

                    HOMEMADE  PLAYDOUGH

                         Ingredients:

·       

3 cups of flour

·       

1 cup of salt

·       

3 tablespoons of oil

·       

1 cup of water

·       

Tempera paint

·       

Talcum powder

                    1.   In a bowl, mix the flour and the salt.

                    2.   Add the oil and the water.  Mix and knead.

                    3.   Make a ball with a hole in the centre. Add tempera.  Knead.                              

                     4.   Add talcum powder.  Knead

 

 

OHIO

 

As you know, Jesse, our conversation auxiliar lives in Ohio. He told us many interesting things about this State and people who lives there. They are called "buckeyes". Then, we decided to make a mural with a big buckeye in Art class, with typical indian corn for Thanksgiving ( how colourful and nice it is!!)

In Ohio there are some animals that we can´t see here ( bald eagles, monarch butterflies, opossums, deers, cardenals....) We made these animals for the mural as well, using stencil technique.

All the children from 1st to 6th grade participated in this mural.

 

EASTER IS FUN!!

 

Children love Easter.

In English and Art class, preschoolers and primary students reviewed vocabulary related to Easter, learned about other traditions and had fun with many different activities and crafts. Here are some of them...

1st graders made a collage of the city with the CN Tower and high skyscrapers.

 

 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

April 2018

April 23rd was Stephanie´s birthday. 5th and 4th graders wanted to give her a surprise. They themselves organized the party. Thank you, children!! You are so lovely!! And the cake was delicious...thank you, Zayra!
