Easter at Sobreira

Spring has arrived! Let’s see what our students have been up to…

The little ones got to work creating colorful Easter eggs. Three and four year olds used blue, yellow, pink, purple and green crayons for their eggs while 5 year olds, first and second graders made their eggs using magic! (They used white crayons and watercolor, shh...)

The fourth grade made hens out of paper and yarn and the third grade made bright nests for the baby chicks!

The fifth grade fashioned bunnies out of plastic spoons, cotton swabs and paper. Some of them are quite dapper.

Keeping with our theme this year, thinking green, the sixth grade made Easter baskets out of recycled plastic water bottles.

We also had our annual Easter egg exhibition! Take a look at some of our students’ work.

As we welcomed the spring at Sobreira, we also welcomed the coming of the Easter Bunny! One sunny Tuesday morning, the Easter Bunny made a visit to the school and left chocolate Easter eggs all around the schoolyard. The long anticipated Easter egg hunt finally took place on the same afternoon as the entire school made a mad dash for all of the hidden chocolate Easter eggs. The eggs were hidden in the grass, inside trees, in flower beds and within playhouses. Our students left no stone unturned!

And now, we wait for the return of the Easter Bunny next spring. Until then!
