The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark

HamletHamlet is a tragedy by William Shakespeare, probably written between 1599 and 1601. The play, set in Denmark, recounts how Prince Hamlet revenges his father, the King, killing his uncle Claudius, who murdered Hamlet's father, and then took the throne and married Gertrude, Hamlet's mother. The play vividly explores themes of madness, treachery, revenge, incest, and moral corruption.
