Scales

When you have to  draw a object from the real life, probably It doesn't have the same size in the sheet of paper. So you will draw in the paper modifiying dimensions. Really  you are using scales.

DEFINITION:

The scale is the ratio  between the dimensions of the object in reality and the dimensions of the object on paper

There are 3 types of scales:

  • REDUCING SCALE: The object is greater on the paper than in reality. 1:10
  • ENLARGING SCALE: The object is smaller on the paper than in reality. 10:1
  • FULL  SCALE: The object has the same size on the paper than in reality. 1:1

EXAMPLES:

  • REDUCING SCALE: Floor plant
