CTfL in action: an example using Mandarin 

This project which took place in Tayside, Scotland was designed to address the desires of schools to increase the number of learners tackling different languages, in a situation where  there were few teachers available with the skills to deliver a number of languages.  

The project involved pupils taking an active part in their learning while being supported by the use of Communication Technologies for Learning to support them and give them greater confidence.  Power Language devised a series of six short lessons which teachers and learners could view together then use as the basis for further work in the class.

This video is an example of the support learners were able to access before trying out the language in class with their peers.
