Study modes

1. Regular Courses

At the Official Language School in Lugo we offer regular courses of Chinese, English, French, Galician, German, Italian and Portuguese.

Our syllabus is distributed into three levels to be accomplished in 5, 7 or 8 years:

a) Basic: 1, 2 or 3 years depending on the language. 1 = A1 of the CEFR, 2= A2 of the CEFR, 3= A2 in Chinese.

b) Intermediate B1: one or two school years. 1 and 2 = B1 of the CEFR.

c) Intermediate B2: one or two school years. 1 and 2 = B2 of the CEFR.

d) C1: one or two school years.

e) C2: one school year.

Students obtain a certificate on completion of each level:

  • Basic: Basic A2 certificate.
  • Intermediate: Intermediate B1 certificate and Intermediate B2 certificate.
  • Advanced: C1 or C2 certificate.

Students who have not attained the mínimum requirements but have passed one or several language skills may request a certificate stating this.

Regular courses may be:

  • Anual: 120 hours  from September to June, in two two-hour periods p/w.
  • Intensive: 120 hours from September to Februrary or from February to June in 8 h/w. Thus, two courses of the same level may be completed in just one school year.
