Announcing the WINNERS of the English Department’s Spelling Bee Contest (B2)

Congratulations to the winners of the English Department’s Spelling Bee contest (Concurso de ortografía) for B2-level students. From left to right in the photo they are:

  • 1st place: Carmen Méndez Naya (B2.2)

6th Mini Saga Contest: Voting Now Open

6th Mini saga constestThe semi-finalists of the 6th Mini Saga Contest have already been chosen. Thanks to all the participants for their great stories!

  1. Please, read the 15 mini sagas on this link.
  2. Vote for your favourite story here.

Public voting will be enabled until February 4th. The 7 stories that receive the highest number of votes will be considered by a jury of teachers from the English department, who will choose the 3 winners based on the originality and linguistic quality of the stories. Winners will be announced on February 11th, 2022.

Obradoiro de Nadal en Ordes

O día 15 de decembro o alumnado do nivel A2 de Inglés en Ordes participou nun obradoiro de creación e produción de decoracións navideñas dirixido e participado en lingua inglesa. Os traballos foron expostos tanto dentro da aula coma nos corredores do centro.

Despois levouse a cabo un concurso para identificar cancións navideñas e panxoliñas famosas no mundo anglosaxón. A gañadora foi a alumna: Rey Labandeira, Mª Nercedes.

6th Mini Saga Contest

Consurco mini-sagasCan you imagine a story in exactly 50 words?

Participate in the 6th edition of the Mini Saga Contest of the EOI de Santiago de Compostela!

Participation terms:

  • To enter, you must be a B2.2. or a C-level student enrolled in the EOI of Santiago de Compostela (Vite) or its satellite schools.
  • Write your mini saga in exactly 50 words (plus a title up to 15 words).
  • Send your text to biblioteca.sar@eoisantiago.org no later than January 14th, 2022. Make sure you include your full name and the name of your group.

English Book Club 2nd Meeting

Book club SarOur second meeting will discuss Khaled Hosseini's third book, And The Mountains Echoed, an unforgettable novel about finding a lost piece of yourself in someone else.

Participation is limited to the first 18 students who sign up here.

Halloween en Ordes

Festa HalloweenO día 27 de outubro do 2021 o alumnado da EOI na sección de Ordes paticipou nun quiz pensado para compartir información sobre a celabración cultural da festa de Halloween. Asemade tivieron que participar na colaboración de relatos de medo en lingua inglesa.

Como agasallo polas devanditas actividades, todo o alumnado recibiu un diploma pola sua participación e os gañadores (Javier Rodríguez Vázquez e María Carmen Barbeito Bestilleiro) recibiron un lote de libros en inglés relacionados coa temática da maxia e o misterio.
