Anais, our language auxiliar, told us how she celebrates Thanksging Day in New Jersey. Thank you, Anais! You´re lovely!
This is her presentation. All the Primary students could see it. We learnt a lot!! We talked about:
WHERE IS IT CELEBRATED?
She explained that Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in the USA . It´s also celebrated in Canada, Caribbean Islands and Liberia.
WHEN IS IT CELEBRATED?
In the USA it is celebrated the last Thursday of November (this year it´s on Thursday the 28th of November)
HOW IS IT CELEBRATED?
It is a day to give thanks for what they have: family, friends, house, food,...
Families and friends get together for a meal. Traditionally, at Anais home, they eat: turkey, cranberry sauce, corn bread, green beans casserole, marshmallows with sweet potatoes, pineapple with ham, pumpkin pie and apple pie.
